Short for "foreign exchange market", an over-the-counter market where currencies are traded.

Since that time, it has experienced explosive growth. Financial experts, and experts on the global economy, nearly universally agree that the Forex market will continue to grow and expand well into the future.

These experts maintain that the Forex market is unique for a number of factors, including:

* its tremendous daily trading volume

* the extreme liquidity of the Forex market

* the large number and variety traders in the Forex market

* its geographical dispersion across the globe

* its long trading hours .. 24 hours a day, five days each week
